A Wedding at Le Negresco in Nice

Some venues have a character entirely their own. Le Negresco, overlooking the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, is certainly one of them. With its remarkable architecture, art collection and distinctive interiors, it offers an extraordinary setting for a wedding on the French Riviera.
It was here that the couple gathered their loved ones for a celebration beautifully planned and designed by Phyllis Kent Events.
The elegance of Le Negresco: a story of contrasts
From the quiet moments of getting ready in the hotel's suites to the couple's portraits, each space offered its own atmosphere.
I love working with these contrasts: creating editorial-inspired portraits, making the most of the architecture and light, while leaving room for spontaneous gestures and moments that could never be recreated.
Because even in the most extraordinary settings, it's always the people who bring photographs to life.
A celebration full of life
Throughout the day, there were moments of emotion, laughter and genuine connection.
With the Mediterranean as a backdrop, followed by celebrations inside Le Negresco, the couple shared an unforgettable day surrounded by family and friends.
Inside the Salon Royal, the atmosphere took on a new dimension. Beautiful floral arrangements by Manakin Fleurs, candlelight and thoughtful details created an elegant reception. At every place setting, little boxes of Ladurée macaronswere waiting for the guests.
One of the lovely touches of the celebration was live watercolor artist Sophie Paints Your Event, who created personalized illustrations for the guests to take home.
Then came the couple's entrance, welcomed by guests waving their napkins in the air, followed by music, dancing and the traditional Hora, with the newlyweds lifted high on chairs. Those are the moments when everyone is completely caught up in the celebration — and forgets the camera is even there.
That's what I love to photograph: the beauty of a setting, the personality of a couple, and all the life that unfolds in between.
